Job Summary

Western Fence Company located in Phoenix; Arizona has been the fencing leader in Arizona since 1947. We are currently looking for a highly qualified individuals to help build our expanding company. We seek a hardworking and talented Welder for our company.

We’re looking for candidates to work as a Welder/Fitter/Fabricator, primarily in steel. This position will be based at our shop in near downtown Phoenix. A good welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail.

  • Fabricate fence to particular spec/design
  • Fabricate railing to particular spec/design
  • Fabricate gates to particular spec/design
  • Weld/cut miscellaneous items for projects/customers

Requirements & Qualifications

Requirements

  • Speak and read English
  • Bi-lingual plus
  • Strong math skills
  • Be able to pass background check
  • Experience with hand tools including saws, nail guns, and small equipment such as skid steers, mini ex’s and one mans.
  • Must be able to read blueprints/plans
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience welding Steel with Mig & Stick
  • Experience welding & installing steel railings, gates and fencing
  • Experience with Mig & Stick Welding in the field as well.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Attention to detail and reliable

Position Details

Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $21.50-25.50 DOE
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Overtime is available, if needed
Experience: Professional fence: 2-3 years minimum
Work Location: One location, occasional on-site welding at project location
Typical start time: 6am-2pm, with overtime as needed at time and half
